There will be a diagnostic fault code memorized in the Air Bag computer. The dealer will connect a hand-held computer to read the code. The code(s) will indicate the circuit with the problem, not the specific part.
A common cause is a broken clock spring under the steering wheel, but that doesn't usually happen at such low mileage. As it continues to break, eventually the horn, and possibly the cruise control, will also stop working.
