I got these Spyder taillights for my truck, they don’t work. When I turn my truck on running, they stay on for about 5 minutes. Everything works the turn signals, the brake lights, the running lights, but after about 5 minutes all of those stop working. My license plates lights are still on, and my headlights stay on, but my taillights just shut off. If I turn my truck off, then turn it back on, they turn back on and work for about 5 minutes the same thing over and over. I don’t know if I need a bigger relay or if I have a bad ground wire. Could anyone help out?

Hi,

If nothing is working, I question if the lights you used have an internal circuit breaker. LED lights require much less voltage to work. If you install them, usually everything on the circuit requires to have LEDs.

Just as a test, disconnect the license plate lamps and see if they still turn off after five minutes. I'm wondering if the voltage draw difference is causing this to happen.

Let me know.
