How do you do a smoke test? Would that cause the car to die? The grounds look ok im going to do more checking the vac hose's look ok to me so far

A smoke test has to be done professionally. You don't have nor can you get eth equiptment to do it.

I have power back at the valve on the canister. So should I go ahead and change that valve. If I can get if off I can hook it up to a battery and see if it is working where is the evap emission sensor located at?

The sensor is the valve.

Could it be the tps is bad but not showing up on the scan tool cause it doesn't do it all the time?

No if anything the tps may be sticking and try to clean it with choke clear where it meets the throttle body.
But those codeare evap codes, it could be a small leak as well.

It sholdnt' but you should clean tehthrottleplate and iac hole as that will. Unless your fuel presure is low or the evap is putting fuel into the engine at idle it will also.
