Shuts off for no reason at all sometimes hard to start after?

I can be driving down the highway or sitting at a stoplight, the truck will just shut off. Turn it over starts sometimes it won't start takes a while for it to start back up. When you feel it's getting ready to die because it's piercing me losing pressure, I guess would be the word sometimes it feels like the truck is jerking back and forth as it's doing it, he also gets a hint of like a burnt hair smell don't know what that has anything to do with anything. My daughter says she is at issues with when it's getting ready to die if she says it feels like the whole motor shaking, I've never had experience that while driving.
