Determining if fuel pump is bad?

You can tell if the fuel pump is bad by turning the key on without cranking he engine over, you should be able to hear the pump run of about 5 seconds in the tank, if so a pressure test is next which you can do by doing a pressure test this guide can show you how and you can rent a fuel pressure gauge from the auto parts store for free in most cases.

FUEL PRESSURE
Ignition On, Engine OFF .................... 415 - 455 kPa (60 - 66 psi)

If you don't hear the pump run swap out the fuel pump relay under the hood, check the images below. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
