Hi,

If it didn't move on the opposite side, it appears there is a lot of play. Especially the driver's side. If you watch under the vehicle while he does that, check to see where the movement is coming from. Chances are it is a tie-rod.

If you look at the attached pic, I highlighted both inner and outer tie rods. Both sides of the vehicle will have the same parts. Pay attention to where the joint is located for play.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

Hi,

If I'm correct, that is the lower control arm. You may not be able to just get a bushing and need to replace the entire control arm.

If it is the lower, here are the directions for removal and replacement.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

I'm glad you found that. It could have caused an accident. Have you been able to replace the control arm yet?

Hi,

I wouldn't recommend it. If you were my sister or relation, I would say don't.

Okay, and the tensioner belt we keep on aligning the belt and when we turn the car on the belt is out of place almost like if it was going to pop out.

Hi,

I would be happy to, but we are required to keep things online. I hope you understand.

When the belt is installed, is it tight? Also, are you certain it is routed correctly? Does it seem to align properly with all pullies before starting it?

Let me know.

Hi,

Okay, something isn't aligned then. Do me a favor. Record it so I can see it. Also, when you turn it off, video the belt so I can see where it's off or out of alignment.

Hi,

Is it walking back on the tensioner? Is that what you noticed? If so, with the engine off, check for up and downplay as well as in and out play on the tensioner and all the belt-driven accessories. I suspect the tensioner is moving causing this. Also, it could be light glare, but is it smoking?

If possible, remove the belt and spin each pulley and check it as mentioned.

If everything appears tight, you may want to take a straight edge and confirm there is no variation in the pullies. One last thing. Look at the pic below and make sure I highlighted the pulley of concern.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
