The check engine light was on, the car does not start sometimes. I had the check engine light tested and it came back as bad crankshaft sensor. I bought a new one replaced it, but the car still does not start. I replaced the bad one and the car started right up and kept starting for a couple of days, but now it wont start at all. Is it necessary that I clear the codes first before the new sensor will start the car?
