Truck started to sputter and lots of power acted like it was starving on gas, so change the fuel filter problem still existed. Acted like it would bog down when I pressed on the gas and was really hard to get it to freeway speeds. So, I pulled the air filter out and unhooked the charcoal canister and was able to get it home. Started it the next day in the morning it was cold went to the road it shut off, and now it will not start it cranks but it won't fire.

Hi Kirk, it sounds like the fuel pump failed. Do me a favor. See if it starts for a couple of seconds and then stalls if you use starting fluid. If it does, then we know it is a fuel-related issue. If it makes no difference, then we need to check for spark to the plugs.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
