The engine will turn over like it is about to start then shut right off. Checked all fuses, all possible fuel problems, and etc. Had a guy hooked up a computer to it and he said it was something to do with the ignition switch. Changed out the hole ignition and still having the same issue.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

When the vehicle was checked with a scan tool, were there any diagnostic trouble codes retrieved?

In many cases, the problem is related to either a fuel related issue or ignition issue. So, here is what I want you to try. See if the engine starts for a couple of seconds using starting fluid. If it does, then we know its fuel related. If there is no change, check to see if there is spark to the plugs. Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Try that and let me know what you find. Also, if you could record what it is doing and upload it for me to hear, that may be really helpful. Also, let me know if the tachometer moves at all when cranking the engine.

One last question. Have you checked fuses and relays such as the ignition 1 fuse and relay, and so on?

Let me know.
