Crank will not start

Van quit running and I had thought to be out of gas so put gas in and then the starter just made a spinning noise so I replaced the starter. Now it cranks but won't start. When trying to start it it runs the battery down quickly.

Hi,

Is it possible for you to record it cranking so and upload it for me to hear? Also, it still could be a fuel related issue. Anytime a vehicle just shuts down like you described, it is usually related to fuel or an ignition issue. Try this. See if it starts for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it starts and then stalls, it is a fuel related issue. If it still doesn't even try to start, then it is likely ignition related.

Let me know what you find. Also, if you could upload the audio of it cranking, I would like to hear it. The idea that it is draining the battery quickly is a concern to me.
