Car cranks but does not start. Second time this happened. Bought car this year. New fuel pump and ignition switch. Not getting any fuel pressure and not starting on starter fluid so I assume no spark. Checked fuses and switched around relays. No codes from code machine or from self diagnosis from car.

We need to start with the basics. First we need to check for codes. If we have codes then that will narrow this down.

Then we need to find out if the theft light is remaining on. If it is then we should have some codes.

However, do you have another key that you can try to use to start the vehicle?

If not, let's start with this info because depending on the results we are going to go in very different directions.

Thanks

Okay. How have you confirmed no fuel pressure and no spark? I see you are saying that due to not starting on starter fluid then you are saying it has no spark as well?

If that is the case we need to actually check the pressure with a gauge and then pull a plug and hold it against the block to see if we have no spark.

Lastly we are going to need to check the compression.

We need air, fuel, spark, and compression to start the engine so we have to confirm each of these before moving on.
