Well, fuel pump bad replaced. Cranks no start. Every fuse and relay works. Replaced crank position sensor. Also got spark power all the way to pump. Wont come on, but works hooked to battery out of car. Reset ECM now no gauges but got lights and it cranks over battery is good. I'm stumped big time all over a fuel pump replacement.

Hi,

If you have power to the pump and it doesn't work, either you have a bad ground or a bad pump, but you indicated it works when you run power direct.

Have you checked the ground? If you look at pic 1, it shows the pump wiring and ground location. If you haven't already, check that. If you have checked it for continuity, recheck it when there is a load on the ground. Do the same with power. A poor connection can test good when not under a load.

Next, if you look below, I attached the diagnostics for the fuel pump control circuit. Let me know if you are comfortable following it.

Take care and let me know what you find.

Joe

This sounds like the crankshaft angle sensor or the fuel pump has gone out, when you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds? These guides should help us fix it.

Also, lets run the codes to see what come up.

Please run down these guides and report back.
