Crank no start

Replaced spark plugs cap and rotor. Ran fine, drove on the highway about ten miles just shut off no start after that.

Yes, I hear pump running and there is pressure in gas line will check with a gauge tomorrow but it did squirt fuel out. Getting spark of and on what concerns me is while cranking one minute it sounds normal next time it cranks kind of slow almost like its out of time. Occasionally it spits back up through the throttle body (air cleaner box removed).

No, it sounds normal cranking then it will sound like it is cranking slower like timing has jumped making it spit up through throttle body.

Yep, it sounds like the timing has slipped a compression test will confirm the issue. You can rent a gauge for free from an auto parts store in most cases.
