My car was just fine driving all week. Driving better than ever in fact. I changed the water pump and timing belt last weekend and made sure everything was perfect. Torqued and tension-ed the belt to where it was and rotated the engine a few times manually to confirm timing then torqued the tension-er a bit more.

I drove it all week with no issues and I got home yesterday and turned the car off like normal. I ordered a pizza and went to pick it up but car would only crank and would not start. Ran perfectly not four hours before I turned it off with no symptoms at all.

Things I have checked:
* Opened top of the timing belt cover and confirmed belt is still tight and aligned on the cams. Cams also spin while cranking engine.
* Fuel pump hums when turning the key to "on".
* I can hear it also at the fuel rail.
* Fuel psi is upper 50's when I checked the Schrader valve.
* Can't smell fuel after attempted starts.
* Not getting spark.
* No electricity going to the injectors also.
* Coil pack was changed a year ago along with wires and plugs.
* Fuses look good.

This led me to believe it is the crank or cam sensors. I have no CEL codes other than 12 (battery disconnect) and 55 (end of message). I swapped the crank and cam sensors with aftermarket ones which did nothing. I have ordered some OEM sensors and they are on the way.

I have also swapped the ASD relay and that did not work.

If I unplug the cam sensor and crank the engine, I do get a code 54. But if I disconnect the crank sensor and crank the engine, I do not get a code 11 like I should. So I am wondering if maybe there is faulty connector for the crank sensor or maybe the PCM is bad. I have a spare connector which I just happened to find in my glove box so I plan to splice it on because the current crank connector has no tab to retain it (maybe that is the problem).

If the OEM sensors do not do it, am I looking at having to tow it to the dealer?

I fixed it. Driver's side cam was late by two teeth. Never knew that would cause a no-start. Thought it would just run terrible. There was none of that at all!
