My car overheated when I was driving home from work. When I got home, I let it cool and checked. When I unscrewed the coolant reservoir, all of the coolant leaked out. I just need to get to work tomorrow (2.5 miles). Can I put the coolant in the flange since there is no cap on the radiator? It looks like the reservoir goes directly to the flange.

Hi,

That is a tough question to answer simply because I don't know where the leak is. If it leaks out really fast, you won't likely make it without overheating and potentially damaging the engine itself.

Is there any evidence of coolant leaks that could help me make a better diagnosis? Take a look through this link and let me know if it helps and what you find:

Let me know. Also, let me know if this has a 4- or 6-cylinder engine. I'm not sure which coolant fill procedures to provide.

I will watch for your reply.

Take care,

Joe
