I have 1999 Chrysler Sebring Convertiable, 130k, 3.5 v6. For the last couple of weeks I have to jump start my car. It seems the problem has been happening since I had to change my starter fuse after it blew out. The word DECK has shown up on my instrument panel. And, now the car will not start at all, the battery has power, but the starter is not engaging(It is not making that clicking sound)I had one person look at it and they thought that maybe the alarm had something to do with. Maybe there is short there. Causing the starter not to engage. So, it went from me having to jump the car once maybe twice a week. To know it is not starting at all. Wondering if there is a short somewhere. Let me know what you think

Get a remote starter-find the starter crank the engine from there. Safety First. This will give you an idea of the auto theft deterrent device.

Could be an ignition switch, NSS, starter relay-solenoid. ATD device

Had a similar problem when I removed the battery. Car would start and die. After looking for a solution it appears chrysler has some anti theft stuff on the cars. My user manual said to lock and unlock the driver's side door and that would fix it! Jim
