This morning when I started my car the oil pressure hand shot up past H. I sat there and a minute and I drove off. The hand fell down to normal pressure. Then it dropped to low then shot up again. The hand continued to move up and down as I drove down the interstate. FInally it rose to high again and it stayed there. Even when I turn the car off its still past the H. Is this something just wrong with the gauge or do you think there maybe another problem?

I think its just the gauge. I had a 98 chevy blazer and the gas gauge did something similar then it just stopped working

It is your oil pressure switch/sending unit going cuckoo. Locate your oil filter, your sending unit is just above it.
