The engine oil pressure indicator first started flickering and then continuously started lighting when my car is idle. However when I drive the indicator light is gone.
When I checked the engine oil with the dipstick and the level is normal.

I am scared to show this to a dealer because they will squeeze all money out of me.

I would appreciate a good advise!

Hi there,

More than likely this is just a faulty oil pressure switch, your local mechanic can check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauger and if all is OK, just fit a new switch.

Hi,

Thanks for your instant reply. Do you think I should go to a dealer or just show to any car repair shop close by.

Thanks a lot!

This is a very simple check, any mechanic can do this.
