I have a 2004 Chrysler, P.T Cruiser 2.4 turbo w/o sport suspension
automatic transmission, 128,000 miles runs fantastic!
but while replacing the right front strut I did not protect
my C.V. Axel boot and I tore the outer boot. I purchased a split boot however it does not fit tightly and is still leaking. I have never taken a c.V. Axel apart is it easy so I can put on a one piece boot or with the amount of miles on the axel would it be best to just replace the complete half shaft.

thx David Noftsker     : : : : : : : :D :D :D :D

128k. Replace the axle. They have become less expensive than they once were. Depending on cv design, you may have to take one end off to replace the boot on the other end, now you have replaced 2 boots on an axle with 128k
