My ac cycles on and off when it idles. Is the fan supposed to be running wehn I turn on the ac? The fan comes after engine the engine has been running for a while. AC doesn't cycle then. After fan shuts off the ac starts cycling on and off again. Could this be a switch problem? If so how do I fix. Note: Air is cold and all switches on dash working properly. Tajnks for your help>

Hi:
Low freon pressure can cause the system to cycle. Also, the fan should be on when the AC is running. Start with having the system's pressure tested.

Let me know what you find.
