I have a 1995 chevy corsica with 95,584 miles on it and I am having a problem with getting my car to start. It cranks over but it don't go any further then that, I know it has fuel pressure but I am not sure if it's my timing or if it's sparkplugs and wires. I had it running went for a short drive and it was raining after pullin in the driveway and put it into park I was waiting and after about five minutes it died and I was not aware of it dying, however when I went to start the car back up it would not start. I have let it sit now for a while and it still will not start I am not sure what to do I can't afford to have my car taken brought in and looked at and am trying to fix it myself I would be so very greatful if someone could please help me figure out what is wrong with it or at least where to start. I do wish I could donate a small something so I am able to recieve a quick reply but I am unable to do so at this time. The best I can offer at this time is a simple thank you. Cappy

Well cappy,

Unfortunately it could be a multitude of things.
Start with the simple things first.
Make sure both the gas cap and the oil cap are properly closed, check the oil level, hopefully you've kept up with the oil changes at every 3k miles. Check your distributor cap and wires at both ends make sure they're snug at both ends (to the distributor cap and the spark plugs)
then check your hoses for breaks and that they're all conected, then check your filters to make sure they're clean and the filter housing cover is closed securely
If all this looks ok, the following would take a knowledgeble mechanic.
It could be one of the car's sensors, a fuel filter, starter or generator that's gone bad.
Hope this helps
Good luck
