Engine Cooling problem
1994 Chrysler New Yorker 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Can it damage other components of the vehicle if using a used radiator to replace the existing one?

No as long as the radiator isnt bad and leaks then id say before you put the radiator in put a garden hose in one side and flush it to make shure no rust or sludge has built up in it.
Watch your temp gauge after that to make shure its all right.

Thanks for the input. My cousin's radiator just cracked and someone told her that if she put a used radiator in, it would damage something in her tranny. Aparently the guy said that this would only occur in a 1994 Chrysler New Yorker. How he got his info, I don't know. Thanks again for the help. Wickratt

Now as long as the tranny you are getting has the lines for the tranny id say you would be ok.
You could also flush the tranny cooler side of the radiator also by using tranny fluid in a bottle and a hose. Stand the radiator up and in the top hole for the tranny cooler lines put your hose in and connect it to the bottle of the tranny fluid and let it pour through and out the other hole just in case there might be a few metal shavings in the cooler lines but id say it would work fine after all that just as a precaution.
