Engine Cooling problem
1989 Chrysler New Yorker 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 90,000 miles

the electric fan melted to the motor shaft, overheated and took a chuck of the radiator with it. I have replaced both but the fan does not kick in when the engine gets up to temp. What should I check next. Thanks

Could be the coolant temperature sensor or the engine temperature gauge sending unit that's out of calibration not giving the computer the correct engine temperature in order for it to energize the fan relays so it will turn On the cooling fans.

Check the sensors/relay/fuses
