After traveling at high spped for a while then coming to a stop, my oil light comes on. It goes off immediately when I step on the gas again. When I stop the light comes back on. I just replaced the oil sending unit last year and I just had an oil change last month. The oil level is fine. Your thought?

Maybe the sending unit went bad...again.
Maybe you really have an oil pressure problem and need to have it checked.

Big bottom end problems with those.Seen them with many a rod hanging out. Like Servicewriter said , try a new sender first, if that doesnt do it, hang a manual pressure gauge on it to verify low oil pressure.

Suggested Repair

Replace the oil pressure sending unit again first. If the warning light still comes on at idle after highway driving, verify actual oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, since low pressure can indicate serious bottom-end engine wear.

Conversation Summary

The owner of a 2001 Chrysler Concorde says the oil light comes on after high-speed driving when the vehicle stops, then goes out when accelerating. The oil level is fine, the oil was recently changed, and the sending unit was replaced last year. Experts suggest the sender may have failed again or that oil pressure is genuinely low, and recommend trying a new sender before checking pressure with a manual gauge. They also note these engines can develop serious bottom-end problems.
