Is your check engine light illuminated? If it is, then that's the first place to start.
If it's not, then I'd say you have a fuel related issue. It could be a weak fuel pump, bad regulator, clogged fuel filter, or bad injectors.
The only time you'd get any benefits from using fuel/carb cleaner is before your engine is bad enough to start cutting out on you. These products are meant to prevent this, not fix it once it begins.
With 190K plus miles, there's a lot of things that could begin failing in the fuel system, as well as the ignition system. But usually that would set a code in your computer (misfire).
If your handy with tools, you could begin by checking fuel system pressures at idle and as you rev your motor. If not, then you'll have to take it into a shop.
