Car shuts off and will not restart for about a half hour. Runs fine then engine shuts off. Turns over, like not getting fuel.

Hi:

It could be a number of things. Yes, it could be the fuel pump, but it could be a number of other things. Have you had the compute scanned for codes? If not, go to a local parts store like Auto Zone. Most of the nationally recognized parts stores will do it for free. If it has codes stored, we will be able to identify the problem.

Get back to me with your outcome. If you have already had it scanned and there were no codes, let me know and we'll start eliminating different items.
