Recently purchased a car for daughter. After about two weeks, the car would not start. Everything was operating (radio works, lights, locks, etc). It would turn over like it was starting but never catch. The next day the car started right up. Took it to a garage and because it was working fine they said they couldn't run a diagnostic to see what the problem is. The problem has to happen while they have the car. Car has been running fine until today when again it would not start. After a while, then it started right up. I called the garage back and they said it was electrical. Any ideas of what it could be. Otherwise the car is working fine.

Keep a can of starting fluid in a handy spot. If when this happens it starts right up you'll know your losing your fuel pump and replace it and the filter. All you can do, other then that, is try to get a scanner on the OBD connector. It probably has a fault code telling you what could be wrong. Read about how fuel injection works using two magnets and putting the coil, and injector drivers inside a computer. It's very interesting.
I have two girls and that would drive me nuts.
