Can we change the transistor in the distributor which seems to fail, causing a no start issue(no spark condition). It seems that replacing the transistor will correct the problem. If so, can you suggest a source for the transistor and tell us the specs for the transistor purchase. If not, please advise how we might effect a repair in the most cost effective manner. The distributors are very expensive. Please note that the ignition coil is good.
