Intake gasket

I have a 1998 chevy venture van 3400 sfi front wheel drive auto trans it is spitting watter out the tail pipe and gets hot have been told intake gasket was bad are head gasket no watter in oil and no watter in plugs would you think this could be intake gasket? Thank You Very Much for any help. :

If it is trying to run hot, temp gauge variating water out the tailpipe, can't hold your hand close to end of tailpipe, white stuff in the oil fill cap definatly intake maybe head gaskets. These motors are notorious for going through intake gaskets. A blown intake will make it loose coolant small amount at first then more as the break gets bigger. To make matters worse these motors are a ***** to work on. Gm has been having intake gasket problems since 1996 and still the new 3.4s still have intake problems. If you take it to a shop get out you wallet. And shop around, compare prices. Good luck
