I have 1988 chevrolet scotsdale pickup with 158,000 miles. Its an autiomatic with a 350 v8 and tbi ignition. The truck starts fine when cold but after it warms up it bogs out and dies. The check engine light is on but my scanner doesnt read any codes. The truck has been sitting for about 8 months before I tried to drive it long enough for it to die. Any suggestions? Thanks.

When it bogs down and dies-disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and look for spark-do you have it-If so.

Look for fuel turn key to On position do you hear the fuel pump? If so crank it over with a helper have him look at the injectors are they spraying fuel in cone shapes. Come back and tell me what's missing in action. Be advised this one can be a nightmare to remember.

Fuel filter did you replace it 8mos I wonder how it looks.
