2002 Monte Carlo

My son has a chevrolet, 2002 monte carlo with 70,000 miles. The car won't start unless jumped. The battery is new and we replaced a fuse also. Once started the car will run and does not die until turned off.

I wouldn't rule out the battery even if it is new. I have had bad ones from the get go, rare, butdon't assume, be sure the connections are tight at the battery. And the cabes are good right to the ground and starter as well as tight at these points. By jumping you may be providing a good ground that the car battery is not getting.
