2002 Chevy Truck

The truck starts idles for a few seconds then dies. Ido this a few times thenit wont start. I wait a few and it will start and idle. If I give it gas, it sputters a little then dies. I think its fuel pump? But iam not sure and I think they are now in the fuel tank? The truck does have a utility bed on it.

You should start by checking fuel pump pressure. Here is a how to for checking presure.

Also, make sure the security light isn't staying on when you try to start it.
