how do you change the starter on a z71 chevy truck

first disconnect the negative battery terminal. remove the 2 nuts on the starter solenoid then remove the 2 wires, one will be real fat and the other one small. then remove the 2 starter mounting bolts. the starter will come right out. do the reverse to install. hope this helps.
