The steering in my 1999 Chevy Tahoe breaks loose when I'm turning it to the right at highway speeds. It doesn't happen when I am turning left and it's not noticeable when I am driving in town, but out on the freeway I notice it on curves. Any ideas?

It could be any steering rod. Inspect them all. It also could be the powersteering solonoid. At high speeds the steering is supposed to get tighter. There is a solonoid on the powersteering pump that regulates fluid pressure to accomplish this. It may be acting up or it may need to be cleaned.
