My 2001 Chevy suburban wont start at first but after 15 minuets or so I can try to start it and it will start right up. Happens several times thru out the day. What can cause it to do this?

When this happens, is security light staying on or blinking?

Let me know.

The security light comes on and off. It does that also while driving.

THis sounds like a problem with the factory security system. A way to bypass the system is to turn the key on and let it sit for around 10+ minutes.

Now the bad news. The only people that have the proper test equipment to diagnose a security system problem is the dealer.
