I JUST REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP. I REPLACED THE FUEL FILTER AS WELL. THERE WAS LESS THAN 1 GALLON OF OLD GAS IN THE TANK. I PUT 6 GALLONS FRESH FUEL IN. THE ENGINE STARTS RIGHT UP BUT STOPS RUNNING AFTER ABOUT TEN SECONDS. I AM GOING TO TRY AND INSTALL A SET OF PLUGS AND WIRES. THIS DOESN'T LOOK TOO DIFFICULT BUT I AM AFRAID THERE WILL BE SOME SPECIAL TOOL I'LL NEED
OR SOME OTHER NON SENSE. AM I WRONG? COULD OLD PLUGS AND WIRES BE THE PROBLEM?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

A tune-up is always a good idea. Also, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one.

Your security system, could cause a start and stall issue? Also, if you have the spider fuel system, the fuel poppets may need to be cleaned? You can try injector cleaner in the gas tank, don't know if it will help?
