when I drive my truck it shifts hard first and second and when I stop and try to put my truck in drive or reverse it turns off, I think electrical problem

Has the check engine light come on? Chances are there is a problem with the 1 2 shift solenoid. There are two of them in the transmission, one for the 1 2 shift and one for the 2 3 shift. The 1 2 shift seems to be where the problem is coming from. You may want to remove the pan and filter and check the wire to the A solenoid. IT will be the one with the light green wire going to it.
