Gas pedal sticking !

I have a 1999 chevy z71 with 5.3. How do you clean the throtol body?

Remove the air cleaner assembly and I just open the throttle plates all the way up (with the engine not running) and use some carb cleaner and an old tooth brush and just scub on them. The truck may be alittle hard to start when you are done because of the carb cleaner but just rev it up a few times to blow all that stuff out.
