My truck seems to hesitate @ about 2000-2500 rpms when cold in the morning. But not always. After it heats to operating temp it seems to go away. I just went away for the weekend and when I got back it did not want to start ( a lot of clicking but no turn over ). When it did start, about 15 sec later, the hesitating problem was very exaggerated and at even lower Rpms as well. But again it did go away when it heated up. I do have a slow coolant leak somewhere and a slow oil leak somewhere that I check very regularly, could these be related? Please help Guys.

Sorry for the late reply.

I'd give it a tune-up. Check fuel pressure, koeo, 60--66 psi, that fuel pressure can be critical for start-up. Also, the fuel poppet valves can stick, the cleaning procedure I've seen listed for the poppet valves is a shop procedure.

With rough idle check anything that has to do with idle air system, clean throttle body and idle air valve. Check maf sensor.

Vacuum leaks--egr valve, the list of possibilities for idle issues is long.

With that clicking noise, I'd have to sure the battery has a full charge and the charging system is ok. If a cylinder gets too much coolant in it, it can cause hydrostatic lock, the engine won't turn over.

Also, check for applicable codes. Some of the national brand auto stores used to check codes for free.
