When driving over rough roads, a vibration can be felt in the gas peddle. We have had the front end suspension parts checked and all bolts under truck tightened, including transmission mounts . We have had 4 new shocks put on. Our mechanic can not think of anything else. The chevy dealership suggested maybe ourt after market side bars are the problem. Anyone have ideas?

Have you checked motor mounts? Also, has what do you mean by aftermarket side bars, running boards?

yes motor mounts checked. The side bars have th same purpose as runniong boards. They are tubes that run below the doors you step on to get in the truck.

This is an interesting one. As far as the running boards, I can't see how they would cause this. I have to ask one last question. When you feel this, does the engine continue to run smoothly, or do the RPM's change?
