When trying to start engine it just cranks

This has happened approximately 4 times; When trying to start engine it just cranks. I have to use fuel to prime. Then it starts right up. Why am I losing my prime fuel pump?

Hello,

It sounds like you might have an issue with the fuel pressure regulator.
It might not be regulating the pressure correctly or not producing the right volume.

Check your fuel pressure with a tester.
You should have 55-62 PSI of pressure with key On and engine Off.
