I checked the number 1 plug wire for spark current Why wont it start?

I tried to start my truck and it would not run even though there was a half tank of gas, I even tried to spray starter fluid into the throttle body directly from the opening at the top the engine would turn over rapidly and I checked the number 1 plug wire for spark current Why won"t it start. The vehicle was running fine the day before

Hello,

If you have both fuel and spark but the engine will just crank and not start, you might have a an issue with the crank position sensor.
If a crank positing sensor is faulty the vehicle can produce spark but will not start.
As the engine needs correct signal from the crank sensor to properly start.
