I have a 02 Silverado Z71 the intermediate steering shaft has been replaced twice. The problem is still there.
My question is >>> does the steering shaft affect my front end alignment and and the way my tires wear and the loose feeling in the steering wheel.
I think I have a recirulating steering shaft.

It seems the alignment is out after 2000 miles and my tires seem to wear. I try my best not to hit pot holes or man holes etc, also its not driven off road.
Any help I would appreciate for the next time to the dealer since I am a woman.
Thank-you Vickie

If you are paying for the repairs out of pocket, I recommend having the steering shaft lubed instead of replaced. It is much cheaper. Bad thing is, it only lasts about 20,000 miles. You might also talk to the dealership service manager about GM assisting with the cost of repair. Another option is filing a complaint with GM customer assistance. You can find the 1-800 number in your owner manual.
