Truck will not start when it has been ran to full temp. Then allowed to cool down for an hour or two. I have not noticed any other decline in performance or fuel mileage. Steppping on gas while trying to start only seems to make engine chug a little when it does start. If I shut truck off and start within 10 minutes or when its completly cold it starts just fine. Temperature here has been -15F to 20F for last three months.

Hello,

One possibility is the coolant temperature sensor malfunctioning.
It could be sending signal to the ECU that the engine it "too hot". Which will make the engine not start.

Another possibility you could have an issue with the crank position sensor.
As many times the crank sensor will have issues when the temperature varies. A failing crank sensor may or may not trigger the check engine light.

I have attached the diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
