My 96 chevy 1500 has a starting problem. When it is cold it will turn over but not start. On the third time turning it over it will try to start but be weak and die. Same on fourth. On the fifth or sixth try it will be weak, then catch and run strong. Once I get it started it runs great, and I can shut it off and it will start right back up. I have checked the fuel pump, fuel pressure (after driving it), changed the sparkplugs and wires, and engine temp sensor. I am now leaning towards a slow fuel pressure leak. Any ideas?

It may be your fuel pressure regulator. If it let it go down . Your fuel pressure must be 60-66p.S.I. At idle. If it is 55 or below you will get a hard start/no start condition. It can be teh fuel pressure modulator in the tank or it cann be aa fuel pressure regulator. It's best to have it checked out by a pro.
