2000 Chevy S-10 Fails to start

HELP!

Truck will crank, but not start. Pour a bit of gas down the throttle body, and it will start and continue to run, untill shut down.

Check fuel pressure, sounds like you may need a fuel pump

Thanks for you quick reply.I should mention, I do get fuel up to the. Excuse my lack of knowledge on terminology here. Little orifce near throttle body.I unscrew the cap and push it in, and fuel does come out, also I can hear fuel pump come on.

If fuel pump was faulty, I would assume truck would not run at all? It does run when I pour a bit of gas into throttle body.
