Rough Idling and Sputtering

About two weeks ago I ran out of gas. Well it ran normally until around a week and a half after that. I was going down the road and it started acting as if it was running on 3 cylinders. I checked the fuel filter, it was fine. Could this be fouled out spark plugs? If the spark plugs are the problem, I cannot get to the plugs themselves, there are too many wires, etc. In the way. Is there an easy way to change the plugs that I may not have noticed, aside from having to take items off the top of the engine? Thanks for any help you can give me!

Hi:
First, there is no easy way to get to the plugs. You just have to work your way to them. Also, yes, a fouled plug will cause a miss, but so will a clogged injector.

What I suggest is to stop at a nationally recognized parts store and have the computer scanned for codes. Let me know what they find. Also, if the plugs haven't been changed for awhile, it can't hurt, and it would be a cheap fix if it works.

Let me know what you find, and just FYI, most of the parts stores will scan the truck for free.
