On my way to work the truck just died. No smoke or jerks. Oil pressure gauge went to nothing and just gradually died. I was told by my father that he thinks it may be the oil pump. If so do I need to pull the engine out in order to replace? I am looking for any info you have on all the things I am posting. Thanks in advance!

I don't know how long you have been driving cars that would make you think that it was even close to being OK to drive a car with no oil pressure. Now that you drove it until it died, you just need to look for a new engine. You may have started with a bad oil pump but after driving it that way, you need an engine now.

It was in a matter of feeling the hesitation, looking down and seeing the gauge at 0 and the truck died in a matter of seconds. I did not drive it at 0 pressure for 20 miles or anything. BTW the engine is NOT seized, it turns over, just will not start now. And thank you Master. For not asking me to be more specific but making me look like an asshole who knows absolutely nothing about my truck. I didnt even get an answer but made a fool of thanks prick!

Apparently, you didn't look at the gauge until it was already too late.

Your negative feedback was a matter of shooting the messenger. I will return the favor.
