Engine Performance problem
1986 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

My s-10 will not start unless I dump gas down in the carb.I replaced the fuel pump, fuel injector, fuel filter and all the gas.I drained all the gas out of the line so there was fresh gas.I can see when the truck is running the fuel coming out of the injector like a cone shape. Why wont the truck start at first?I put new spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor.I put a new fuel pump relay on as well.

Have you tried replacing the fuel pump relay?

Yes I just put a new one on. Its just not dumping enough fuel into the carb.I think it might be the fuel pressure regulator. Thanks for your help.

If you replace the regulator and it doesn't help, check the temp sensor.

Let me know what you find.
