2000 Chevy Monte Carlo V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My car after being drove sevaral toimes today at my last stop after about a 1 hour period was completely dead, when trying to start it did nonthing, all lights working but not radio and then upon jumping the first time the car started then when I put it in drive it died again. After that point the lights still working no radio and then it would not take a charge. Couple hours later car still would not take charge enough to start the car
